The WHOBIDARTS membership year runs from 1 April in each year. The annual subscription fee is payable by bank transfer* and by 31 March prior to the start of the membership year. WHOBIDARTS has 2 categories of membership – Full and Life plus a category for Associates. (a) Associate – you can become an associate of WHOBIDARTS on completion of an application form and payment of the subscription of £10 per annum. Associates may apply to exhibit up to 3 pieces of work in any medium in the WHOBIDARTS annual exhibition on payment of an additional fee – currently £4 per piece of work. To apply to be an associate or, if you have any queries about membership generally, please email membership@whobidarts.co.uk. (b) Full membership is granted to individuals who apply for and are granted full member status following consideration of their work by the Selection Panel at the new full member selection day and on payment of a subscription fee of £15 per annum. Full members may apply to exhibit up to 4 pieces of work in any medium in the WHOBIDARTS annual exhibition. There is no further fee payable for exhibiting. Full members are guaranteed to have one piece accepted for the exhibition, subject to all other terms and conditions being met and the overriding discretion of WHOBIDARTS and/or the Burton to reject any work deemed unsuitable. (c) Life members are full members who have elected to convert to life membership by making a one-off payment of £125, instead of paying the £15 annual subscription. Life members may apply to exhibit up to 4 pieces of work in any medium in the WHOBIDARTS annual exhibition. There is no further fee payable for exhibiting. Life members are guaranteed to have one piece accepted for the exhibition, subject to all other terms and conditions being met and the overriding discretion of WHOBIDARTS and/or the Burton to reject any work deemed unsuitable. *Those associates and members who have set up a standing order to pay their subscription fee may leave this in place but payment of subscription fees from any other member and/or associate (including new members and associates) is by bank transfer only. Cheques are no longer accepted.
Full member selection day – The next full member selection day will be held on Sunday 7 April 2024 at a time and venue to be confirmed.
