The Westward Ho! & Bideford Art Society

The Westward Ho! & Bideford Art Society is widely known and respected, with historic links to the Burton Art Gallery & Museum in Bideford, North Devon.

Members of the Society include painters, printmakers, sculptors, wood-carvers, potters and textile artists.
Practicing artists are very welcome to apply for membership.

The Annual Exhibition is the most important event and showpiece for the Society. It is held in the late summer in the Burton Art Gallery. More than 250 selected works by Members, Associate Members, and others are displayed in the Gallery.

Excursions are arranged to venues of artistic interest which usually includes a visit to the Royal West of England Academy annual exhibition in Bristol. Social events are sometimes organised as well.
