Trip to the Open Exhibition at the RWA in Bristol

We are organising a trip to the Open Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) in Bristol. The trip will take place on Wednesday 21st November and costs £19.80 per person (over 65s, disabled and students) or £21 for all others. The cost includes return coach travel and admission to the RWA exhibition. There are pick up points in Bideford, Barnstaple and South Molton. For further details see this form.


The Friends of the Burton Art Gallery and Museum’s Annual Open Christmas Exhibition dates have been announced as 17th November to 23rd December with artist hand in days on 10th and 11th November. Please see attached poster, entry form and terms for more details.

Tony Williams elected as associate member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists

Tony Williams from Kings Nympton, has been elected to be an associate member of the Royal Society of Marine Artists. Tony has had work selected for the exhibition in London for the past four years and won the Charles Pears Award in 2015, which was presented by Sir Robin Knox-Johnston.

The Royal Society of Marine Artists, has come to be recognised as holding the most prestigious and varied exhibition of marine art in the UK. The exhibition's theme is the sea and everything related to it. This is the premier marine art exhibition in the country and is held annually in the Mall Galleries, near Trafalgar Square in London.



Carol Neve

It is with sadness that we report the death of exhibiting member, Carol Neve Thursday, 19th July. Carol was an active supporter, helping with the handing in at the exhibition. We send our condolences to Carol's family and friends.
